MC² Market & Competitive Convergence
Customer relationship management,
database marketing & mailing
lists
"Someday, on the corporate balance
sheet, there will be an entry which reads, 'Information.' For in most cases,
the information is more valuable than the hardware which processes it." — Grace Murray Hopper, who co-invented COBOL,
and coined the term "bug"
With a relational database (db) of over 18,000 objects and over 31,000
connections, is there a contact or a connection that will lead to something
for you? That's my db.
Customer relationship management (CRM) is remembering the customer's
name, contact information, Web address, his application, sales history,
forecast, his position in the sales process continuum, and the name of
her dog. Not many of us can recall all this on a dime, but there are databases
and CRM programs we can rely on to retrieve the data we need to make us
look smart and show that we do care. This is a broad subject area, and
I plan to add more information and links to resources to this page, so
please return. It's things like this that build customer loyalty.
I started building my database during the early 80's, using a Timex Sinclair,
migrating to the Commodore 64, the IBM PC, and now application specific providers (ASP) on the
Web. But as Reed E. Hundt, former FCC head, commenting on the Telecommunications
Act of 1996 said, "...it's the communications, stupid, not computers."
Did you know that there was a Computer Associates International, Inc. (NYSE: CA) database application for the the Commodore?
Well, that's what I used.
My db consists of over 18,000 objects (organizations,
people, markets and products) and over 31,000 connections (people connected
to organizations and organizations connected to markets and products).
Perhaps, your target market or organization is in my db. Maybe, you want
to contact a company's technology director, but you don't know who she
is. Or, you are seeking a distributor in the Northwest. I'd be happy to
check. Just Contact MC².
If you would like to set up a CRM program for your organization, there
are some new options available that allow you to share data, track sales,
forecast and plan without paralyzing your organization during the implementation
phase. Contact MC² about almost painless CRM alternatives.
